Tired and Sleepless...

This is my drama for weeks now. I look like a walking zombie as my eye bags are big and dark! Gee, pimples are also popping out on my forehead. This is because I only take about four to five hours of sleep every night. Usually work late at night just like now to finish all paperworks. And then my day starts early continuously throughout the day out on meetings. I hope I can get to relax soon. When would it be? Otherwise, I would look like a freaking ugly host to a friend's wedding by end of February. No worries about my weight as I think I'm losing some pounds because of stress. But I'm more concerned on how I look so might consider some acne treatments if this gets worse! Hopefully not!

Home Office

This was the initial sketch of the interior designer for my home office set-up. But we are revising it as I want more shelves and cabinets. In fact, showed a picture which I saw from a magazine. It would just be merely carpentry work as most will be hanging cabinets. Don't want to spend a fortune for this anymore if it would be a customized furniture. Instead, we would just allot the budget for the living room, the dining room and the master's bedroom. And I definitely want a very cozy and nice powder room and master's bedroom CR plus the tiny walk-in closet.

We are getting there...counting the weeks!

Last Hurrah!

I made another "purchase" again as my new year's gift for myself. Hmm, I just can't stop. But I am telling myself and the husband that this could be my latest and I would settle to rest for few months before I make another purchase. Next thing we would have to save up for would be for the furnishings of the house. The interior designer gave us a quote already for the complete furniture of the house including the living room set, dining room set as well as our master's bedroom set. Thank goodness, it is still within the budget. But I am requesting something for the bathrooms. I would like to use premium lines so I am haggling to the contractor to use Kohler faucets for our bathrooms. I hope it could be accommodated with our contract price.

Oh My!

You Are Destined to Struggle With Your Weight

Like most people, you find it a little difficult to stay at at weight you're comfortable with.

If you change a few habits and make food less important, you may find the struggle hardly exists anymore.

Crazy Bridal Shower

I wanted to share what happened during the bridal shower which we throw to our cousin, Jenny who got married recently. But I would rather keep it and not post it in the whole world wide web. Its scandalous! Bwahaha. But she enjoyed every moment of it. We all had a great time and so as the bride, especially with all those sexy lingerie she got as gifts. Our bridal shower theme was "first night." And her bridal shower cake, my gawd! Amazing! It's been a while since I last attended a crazy bridal shower like that. Well, I had not one during my wedding. I was conservative at that time!

Finishings!

Last week, we met with the interior designer and the contractor to discuss few changes on the design of the house. I almost can't believe that there are a lot of decision making that should be done for this house construction. But actually I dont mind as long as it would be for a better look of the dreamhouse. In fact, we are already talking about furnishings and even those bathroom lighting are our concerns. I want a very nice powder room associated to our modern asian theme.  Too bad, we won't be able to passby this weekend since I have events and the husband has a board meeting.  I'm pretty sure we would be suprised on what we could see by next weekend.

5 for Wednesday!

Snagged from Peachy.

1. What would you say is your idea of fine dining? - Steak, Red Wine, Candle lit

2. How often do you go out to eat at a restaurant? - fine restaurant?  like once a month.  If just any restaurant, almost everyweek.

3. What side do you think goes great with ham? - cheese of course!

4. What do you prefer, hot foods or cold? - Hmm, dependes actually.

5. Does packaging alter the taste? -  I think sometimes yes.

Renewals!

Whoa!  It's January and its time for all those renewals!  Business License Renewals, paying taxes, its all crazy.  I almost fell down on my chair when my accountant told me how much I need to settle for the taxes and renewals.  Apparently, they are based on how much you have earned last year.  And there goes the renewals of auto insurances as well.  And with two cars, we need to get the best deal.  The husband asked me to check out some cheap auto insurance.  Gosh, there's just a number of expenses to consider!!!  Need to doubly work hard!

Shopping Spree!

Oh and I am grateful that we received a number of gift cards last holiday season. The kids got some gift cards from their godparents. So now we have time to do some shopping spree! Glad that these GCs are actually expiring in a years time so we dont have to consume everything at the same time. Well, I realized how nice it it to really just gift cards so the receiver would have her own choice on what to buy for himself or herself.   Next year, I would consider this option instead.  So that would save me time for shopping around too much!

No nonesense! I am happy!

You Are Very Happy

Your life is totally together, and you enjoy every day.

And you don't need a quiz to tell you that!

You know how to find pleasure in the little things...

And even when life isn't so great, you have a good sense of perspective.

Time to save!

So how was your credit card bills this January? I bet with most of us who did a lot of shopping during the holidays were suprised to see and receive our credit card bills. I am not exempted to this. Gee, I almost can't believe how much money I spent last month, when I received all my bills. Now, this is the reason why I'm doubly busy. I am now doubly working hard! Well, I am still hoping I won't need any Debt Counseling yet like what Credit Exchange Corporation has been offering. I am still able to manage finances at this time. I have been following what the husband has to say that I should always stay within the limit, especially now that we are expecting more expenses by February till April because of the furnishings we need to buy for the house.  Now, my motto should be maximize profit and minimize cost.  Few things I should do to achieve this would be:

1.  Limit dining out.
2.  One starbucks coffee a day, instead of like 3!
3.  Limit one bag per quarter!  Bwahaha!
4.  Be more aggressive in booking accounts especially with the new group I have formed.
5.  Schedule all meetings in a  day in just one area to minimize use of gas.

Well, I can go on and on but this are just the basic things I should prioritize, I think!

Crazy Busy!

January is a pretty busy month. I shouldn't complain as this means business, more business actually. Events are not yet done last December.  Aside from surviving the peak month of weddings, there were also a lot of corporate parties at hand. It is only this week that I am starting to breathe. But with a number of major events coming until February, I still don't have time to relax. Reason, why I only have time to squeeze in blog entries. Aside from work schedules, a number of personal activities were also coming my way. House construction, interior designing, shopping for appliances, paying taxes, renewing licenses and insurances. Which reminds me I need to get new life insurance quotes as me and the husband are thinking to increase our benefit and policy coverages.

It's crazy busy I tell you!

Oh I miss disco dancing!

You Are Disco Dancing

You are very energetic and lively. You could dance all night.

Fun loving and social, you like dancing best when everyone in the room is dancing.

You love to dance to anything, and it's hard to stop once you start.

You love dancing in a crowd. And no matter how big the crowd, all eyes are usually on you.

Guess what's the temperature?

Guess what's the temperature outside? I saw in a digital signage along Ortigas that it was at 17 degrees. Wow, it is like you are inside an airconditioned room. I love, love the weather. But it is also time to guard ourselves since this is the kind of weather when the kids can be prone to cough and colds.  You will see a lot of people now wearing their sweaters/jackets.  It is a good time to bring out the coats.  In fact, I have also brought out my boots.  And coffee really becomes my favorite drink at this time.    I hope this kind of weather lasts longer.

Time for a new coat!

It was freaking cold last night. According to weather reports, it would be colder in the coming days. It has been months since we last didnt use the airconditioning system in our room because the kids were already skimping on their knees. But I do love cold weather. I love to bring out the winter clothes. Its a reason for me to use again the boots. Last week, I have started sorting out my clothes and so as for the kids in preparation for this coming cold weather nights. I realized that I don't have any that comes with a hood. Some of the kids' coats do not fit them anymore. So does this mean I have reason to shop for new coats? Well, I have been thinking really as I saw nice Baby Phat Coats online. And who can't resist those Plaid Drop Waist Coat W/Pleather Detailfor just $100. That type of coat is what exactly I have been looking for in the malls but can't seem to find. No doubt, Baby Phat clothes and accessories have been positioned as a premier female hip-hop brand in less than a decade. Kimora Lee Simmons did make a mark in creating her fabulous creations, Everything on her online shop were stylish and sexy. You would really want to own one. So what did I wait for? I actually did not, I'm checking out now on that online shop to order my new coat!

Target: 110lbs!

I have few major plans for 2009.  One of which is to really lose weight.  I am not sure how can I achieve my desired pre-wedding weight but I would really like to get back in shape.  Maybe I should start working out again.  But I am just too lazy to even get up and work out in the air climber I bought.  I always have excuses.  And with my work schedule, I don't think even buying treadmills would make it even better.  Although I am starting to cut down on carbs and sugar, I still feel that I need to stretch those muscles to make losing weight more effective.  Can someone coach me on how to make this determination work?  I am hopeless.

He loves football!

I have telling the husband last night how much I been regretting that we are not able to have a christmas holiday break in the in-laws place. We have set it early of 2008 but due to more appropriate actions or let's just say decision which we would have to prioritize, we had to forego the trip. Now, we are not yet sure as to when we would be travelling again. I hope we could have something this year still and I'm really hoping we can visit already the in-laws. One of my regrets on not pushing is of course foregoing my shopping spree. But the husband is taking it otherwise. He said that he has saved enough money as well because of it so it makes him think, it is entirely ok. The only thing that he said he has missed is watching live NFL football. I know how much he loves the sports, the same love he has for basketball so when we were initially planning the trip, he has been convincing him to get NFL tickets to watch the sports live. But of course to no avail as we had not gone for the trip.  I told him that he could just probably get himself involved on everything about the NFL football true Comcast.net website, which has updated reports and even scopes around the popular players of this league.  Apparently, he can even watch videos from there so it seems like he won't miss on anything.   I hope in case we push through this year or next year, he could really have the time to watch the game live.

Building a house...

Since we are building a house, I always find myself browsing home design websites. This morning, I found out about a popular lot builder in Louisiana, which is Schumacher Homes. They have been building custom homes since 1992 across America and since then they have already perfected the process. I totally understand how much headache you would afford in building your own house just like what's happening to us. There are a lot of details to think about and it would be too much of a concern already. That is why we got a contractor and interior designer as well to work as a team. Since it is a dreamhouse, it would be best to already input all things we would want for the house as we would be living there in a number of years. That is what Schumacher Homes have been doing. They have actually been considering already all the concerns of their clients in terms of like the sizes of the room, extra bathroom, lawn area, etc. What happens usually is that they would initially give a quote itemizing every dollar spent. They give their clients choices and control on the costs if they want to change any features of the house. It is such a good advantage in getting them. Like in our case, we are experiencing decision-making process almost every week. What has been planned by the architect would still have changes along the way as we see the progress of the construction. Well at least now, we are finally getting used to it.

New Year is here!

It's a brand new year.  It's a brand new hope.  We welcomed the new year with big bang.  The husband bought a lot of fireworks which we used during the new year's eve.  We are full of hope for the coming year.  This is the year that we would move out and be in the dreamhouse.  This is the year that we look forward for great opportunities coming our way.  This is the year that we also wish we can go on nice vacations for the family.  And this is the year that we feel that business would do go despite how others say that it would actually be recession.  No, we feel otherwise.  We look forward for 2009 has to offer!
