Be aware!

I was watching Discovery Channel this morning and was alarmed with Mesothelioma, which is a kind of cancer that occurs in individuals exposed to asbestos.  It is so scary that chemicals like this can actually cause cancer.  Fighting this kind of disease is very scary.  One needs to undergo chemotheraphy.  I hope that our government would also be aware of this kind of cancer so people who will have constant contact with that kind of chemical would be forewarned.  People should really be given proper notice regarding this matter.

Appliance Shopping

We flocked the mall area yesterday despite a very bad traffic for valentine's day. This is because we need to start looking for our appliances and furnitures. I have actually saved those reviews I got from electronics blog regarding LCD TVs. The husband wants to buy a 42" LCD TV for our master's bedroom but I'm not quite sure if this would fit in our wall. That is why we really need to get the specifications so we can inform the interior designer. I was pretty excited also that we actually settled on what to get for a refrigerator and cook top. We actually reserved it already. We also shop around for airconditioning system to buy. And I think we are getting the Samsung brand for the rooms.  We are still figuring out the final decisions re the living room, as we also need to decide if we are buying a tower-type aircon for it.  Awww, we are over our budget already!

Happy Hearts Day!

For the kids...

Last night, the kids have been bugging me to read them some stories. Apparently, I learned that some of their story books are actually not in good condition anymore. So I promised the little girls that I would get them their valentine's gift. Tomorrow, we will hit the mall early to get them some fairy tale books as both of them are totally addicted to princess stories.  Oh, my first born can recite the whole story of cinderella and sleeping beauty already!

Reviving...

this blog is my next target. Apparently, work has been slowing down. It was crazy the past few weeks that a number of people noticed how much I lost weight. Well it was all because of the stress of handling the events. The only consolation is that I don't need any diet pill at all. At least that saves me a lot of money too! But all the work and stress paid off since we finished all events in flying colors. Great, great work of my team!  Now, I have time to revive all my blogs and continue do some updating.  I just hope I would know how to start all over again!

Ambition: Cashier

This is basically what my daughter wants when you asked her what she wants to become when she grows up.  Not really a smart answer but she just love her cash register toy wherein she scans everything in the house using her barcode scanners connected to the cash register toy.  She has gone to a grocery trip recently with her classmates as part of their lesson on learning about the community and neighborhood.  Well, she's pretty much good in math (hope so!)  as she practices receiving money, putting it in her register and when we play, I usually get a change more than what I paid for!  Bwahaha!  a

I hope she changes her ambition next time!

Back to schooling?

Me, back to schooling? not at this time yet as I just can't squeeze in my schedule. But I'm planning to take my MBA by 2010. I hope I'll get it into fulfillment. Well, I'm also planning to take short courses in CCA like in baking and asian cooking. I am also planning to check some short courses in interior designing. In fact, if I wont take my MBA by next year, I might seriously consider PSID for the course. It could be a change of career. I have so many things plan ahead of time. The husband has been joking that I might even want to consider getting medical coding training courses and be a home-based medical transciptionist. Oh, I learned that one earns very well for it. Hehehe.

Getting there...(hehehe)

Priorities first...

I think my idea of looking for Technomarine watches would have to take a back seat first. I would rather get a Philip Stein first, which I hope the husband would give me for Valentine's day or I could wait until my birthday. Now, our expenses are concentrated in furnishing the house. We are starting to scout for appliances. In fact, we have reserved few pieces already last week. And major furnitures have been ordered for customization already. It would take 45 days for all items to be finished. Ideal, as we plan to move to the new house by April hopefully.   We just can't wait!

Vacation Rentals

I envy my cousin who recently went for a vacation and tried an Outer Banks vacation rental house. It is superb as she said and what's good about it is that she only booked everything online. As the husband promised we will go on a vacation this year, I am also hoping we can try some quiant houses like this.  I'm sure the kids will love it and so do I!  Can't wait to go on vacation!

Hoping for a break...

After this busy February, I was telling the husband this morning that I am really hoping for a break.  But how could we possibly do that especially that we would then be busy with the completion of the house.  Next thing we need to do will be furnishings.  So I guess my hope to get a Westgate reservation will be far-stretched.  So let's just see.  But the husband promised one big  trip this year.  I am really hoping it would be to visit his relatives in California.  And I am planning for an anniversary get-away on May since our anniversary is May 4.  It's a long holiday weekend on May 1-3 so it would be a good idea to celebrate.  What do you think?

Things to decide for the house:

1. Finalize sofa set design.

2. Inform interior designer regarding the final decision for the bed frame.

3. Scout for possible curtain-maker.

4. Decide on color scheme of the master's bathroom.

5. Choose furnishings for the bathroom and powder room.

6. Decide on lighting system in the living room area.

7. Get exact size of the LCD TV for the master's bedroom.

8. Decide on carpentry work for the home office room.

Wow, just getting overwhelmed with a lot of decisions to make as well as with the increasing expenses!

Due!

Gee, my car insurance expired last January 15 and still haven't renewed it. I am still awaiting for new quotation from other companies since I wanted to change the old one. Blame it on my schedules, I wasn't really able to sit down on choosing which one. I can't afford not to have an insurance especially now that I am pratically like a mad-driver because of meetings here and there.  It's driving me crazy.  This lunch time, I was extremely complaining to my husband how tired I am with all things I have to do which I can't barely squeeze in a day.  24 hours for me is not enough.  Everything is on due date!  I hope this won't last long!
