Organizing Supplies...

I am one of the those many who actually work from home. And keeping my work station clean and tidy has always been a challenge. Besides, I do not have a secretary or an assistant to actually fix my table, file my documents and organize my office supplies. I practically do everything. It's a whole lot different for a real office scenario.  If you are deciding to do a home-based business, basic essential things should be present in running one.  Here's simple practical list:


1.  Basic home furnitue (a table and a comfortable chair)
2.  A filing cabinet
3.  A phone line.  (a second phone line exclusive for the business would be good)
4.  A modem
5.  An answering machine (would be great!)
6.  A computer but a laptop would be better. 
7.  A yellow pages listing.
8.  Internet connection
9.  A printer (3 in 1s are good: with copier and scanner)
10.  A website
11.  A business card
12.  And most important of all, a very supportive family! ;)
